Why Losing Weight is Always Imagination only
Losing weight is one of the most sought-after New Year's resolutions, yet finding safe and effective weight-loss strategies may seem daunting. Thanks to new technologies and enhanced nutrition knowledge, Weight loss 2024 may provide much-needed guidance.
U.S. News & World Report editors regularly assess the top 30 most popular diets to identify any that are trending or have new scientific evidence behind them. By springtime, this list has been reduced to around 50 and now includes Plantstrong (formerly Engine 2) Diet as well as Dukan Diet in their rankings for rankings purposes for the first time ever.
The DASH diet came in second, providing relief for high blood pressure through its focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. MIND combined DASH and Mediterranean diets for brain health support while Weight Watchers' now WW points system offered rewards for tracking food consumption and exercising regularly and thus took first place once again.
New medications are making it easier than ever to achieve and maintain healthy weight. GLP-1 injectable medications target this hormone and cause you to feel full, making you less hungry - Ozempic, previously known as Invokana, was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration for diabetes patients; Mounjaro and Zepbound will follow shortly in 2022 and 2023 respectively. We may soon see pill form versions available allowing even greater flexibility for weight management regimens.
As you embark on your Weight Loss journey this year, remember it is crucial to remain positive and celebrate each small victory along the way. Even small steps such as tracking meals or exercising regularly can quickly add up over time, and as soon as you start doing them more frequently it will become easier. Success lies in finding something that works for you as part of a long-term healthy lifestyle solution - that way it won't slip back!
